We are booked to come in and record, what do we need to bring or what should we have ready?

Recording should be a fun but serious process. We like our clients to utilize their time as efficiently as possible in the studio so here are a few things to consider and have ready for your booked day.

  • Make sure all guitars and bass guitars have new strings the day of tracking and that they have been setup properly by a skilled guitar tech. New strings are imperative if you want the best sounding recording possible.

  • Drummers make sure you have fresh or relatively fresh heads on your drums. If you have a set of in ears then make sure to bring them as well but we also have headphones if needed.

  • Vocalists make sure your warmed up prior to the session. We recommend bringing in water or tea to keep your vocal chords lubricated and to avoid strain.

  • Make sure you have rehearsed the song your recording a month or two in advance prior to coming to the studio, doing so will yield the best results and be efficient with your time booked.
